Safari Tours to Explore The Republic of the Congo

The Republic of the Congo, also called Congo-Brazzaville, is a lesser-known Central African safari destination. It's a lush haven of greenery and tropical rainforests framed by stretches of savannah, wetlands, and winding rivers.

Home to the second-largest rainforest on the planet, after the Amazon, the Congo Basin teems with rare and endangered life. These dense forests, referred to as the Earth's green lungs, create a hub of biodiversity with over 100 mammal species, more than 16 primates including the western lowland gorilla, chimpanzee and mangabey monkey. Birdwatchers will be delighted to try to spot the plus 400 bird species.

The capital, Brazzaville, is found along the banks of the mighty Congo River and acts as the gateway to the rest of the nation. The city is a tapestry of French-influenced architecture and culture, which you can explore. The Maya Maya Airport is mere minutes from the city centre and services specific flights from around the globe, offering seamless travel to this wonderland.
