Candice could, by her own admission, “go on for hours” about safari. There’s the pride of around 20 lions she once saw, the elephant in Zimbabwe that stood on its back legs to reach a tree, the hot-air balloon over the Serengeti… She loves sharing those stories with guests because, for her, the excitement starts long before you arrive. By the time you travel, she wants Africa to already feel a little familiar. That enthusiasm is very Candice. She loves road trips, camping, the outdoors and anything with a bit of adrenaline, preferably with her daughter Cassidy somewhere in the story. She’s also the person who cannot choose between bush and beach, so perhaps compromise comes naturally. But when it comes to your itinerary, she’ll happily apply the brakes. Stay longer in fewer places. Put the camera down now and then. Have the extra coffee on the deck. For Candice, some of Africa’s best moments arrive when you stop trying quite so hard to collect them all.
