Segera Retreat consists of six timber and thatch villas situated above a garden on raised wooden platforms which look out onto the surrounding savannah. Segera is situated in the centre of Laikipia, one of Kenya’s richest ecosystems. It's abundance of wildlife is breathtaking.
On 20 000 hectares of land, Segera offers a one-of-a-kind safari and private retreat experience in one of Kenya’s most natural settings. Home to a vast array of wildlife, the area teems with birdlife and provides an important corridor for the east-west migration of elephant and other species. Segera has a deep commitment to responsible conservation and community practices.
The villas consist of a large bedroom and en-suite bathroom, private sun deck in the garden, swing bed and a Jacuzzi bath, sunk into the deck outside the bedroom. Each villa includes individually selected paintings and other art from a range of Africa’s most inspiring artists.
Segera House and Villa Segera boast similarly spectacular views and even greater privacy and luxury. Run on solar energy, the villas overlook the Laikipia Plateau towards the spectacular Mount Kenya.
There are several activities on offer, such as day and night game drives, picnics and sundowners, hides and lookout points, guided walks, camel walks, botanical garden, sleep outs, a wellness centre (gym, spa, Rasul tower), as well as activities for children and the whole family.
