Set within the prestigious and private Sabi Sand Game Reserve, right next to Kruger National Park, Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge overlooks a waterhole and open plain where wildlife often wanders. The classic safari spirit and contemporary design make it easy to see why it’s such a popular choice for families, groups, honeymooners and first-time safari travellers.
Welcome to the heart of the South African bush: Game drives head out at dawn and again in the late afternoon, giving you plenty of opportunities to spot the Big 5 at an extraordinarily close distance, while optional walking safaris reveal the smaller creatures you’d miss in a vehicle. Children are welcome, and families are well looked after with thoughtful touches throughout, including the EleFun Centre, which offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor nature-based learning and activities for children. Meanwhile, adults can unwind in the Amani Spa, laze by the pool or enjoy long meals around the fire in the boma.
The suites feel private and spacious, styled with African flair. Each one is tucked into the bush with its own deck for coffee at sunrise or sundowners at dusk. Interiors feature daybeds for little ones, deep bathtubs and both indoor and outdoor showers. For something a little more secluded, the luxury villas each have their own plunge pool, outdoor lounge and safari vehicle and guide. Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge is wheelchair-accessible, with a specially modified suite and ramps throughout. The lodge is accessible via Sabi Sabi’s own airstrip or the nearby Skukuza Airport.
