&Beyond Phinda Homestead is a sole-use safari villa on the edge of a dappled forest in Phinda Private Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal. Designed as a contemporary bush farmhouse, it gives families or small groups space, privacy and complete comfort, with a dedicated guide, tracker, butler, chef and safari host shaping the stay around your preferences. Meals, game drives and downtime at the villa can all be tailored, so the safari feels personal from the moment you arrive.
Explore seven distinct habitats as your guide and tracker read the bush, from fresh spoor in the sand to birds calling from the forest edge. Twice-daily game drives bring the chance of Big 5 sightings, cheetah, black rhino, suni and red duiker, while bush walks reveal the smaller details underfoot. For guests wanting to go further, specialist walking safaris, birding, photographic safaris, black rhino tracking, conservation experiences, Zulu village visits, sleepouts and nearby ocean adventures can be arranged additionally. Back at the villa, afternoons are made for the pool, where elephants often come to drink. The lounge, dining room, interactive kitchen and boma all create convivial spaces to gather, while the library, gym and massage sala offer perfect places to retreat.
The homestead has four en-suite bedrooms, with an additional children’s room available if needed. Each suite is styled with contemporary lines and bushveld soul, using natural textures, warm tones and large windows to draw in the surrounding forest and wetland views. Private verandas with daybeds invite slow mornings with coffee or quiet afternoons listening to birdsong, while indoor and outdoor showers and deep soaking baths with views keep the landscape close.
