Just south of Otjiwarongo, Okonjima Bush Suite lies enfolded in the 22 000ha Okonjima Nature Reserve. The AfriCat Foundation—set up here to conserve and protect Namibia’s endangered cheetah, leopard, and other wild carnivores—allows guests staying at this exclusive private camp to learn about and encounter these big cats.

The Bush Suite is 500m from Okonjima Bush Camp and 3km from Plains Camp. Namibia boasts over 20% of the world’s cheetah population, and on privately guided game drives and bush walks guests can experience these cats and other animals at close range in the wild. Follow the guided Bushman Trail to gain insight into how these ancient people set up homesteads and survived off the land, or take the marked walking trails on your own.
