If you're looking for a safari experience that feels wild, remote and romantic, Nyamatusi Camp delivers all that and more. Set deep in Mana Pools National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll enjoy Zambezi River views from your tent, wake up to the sounds of birdsong and fall asleep to the distant roar of lions. The area is known for its dramatic landscapes, legendary wildlife sightings and four pools that attract plentiful elephants, African wild dogs and other wildlife year-round.
Days at Nyamatusi are crafted around authentic African experiences. Set within a private wilderness concession, in one of the remotest parts of Africa, you explore the area on expertly guided walking or canoeing safaris or on game drives across the floodplains. Catch-and-release fishing and seasonal birding are also led by passionate guides who live and breathe the bush. In the emerald season (November to May), sunrise and sunset boat cruises reveal the Zambezi's quieter, more reflective side.
Eco-conscious and beautifully designed, the camp is solar-powered and built from natural materials. Each luxury tented suite offers a private plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, air-conditioning and a private deck for viewing wildlife. The main lodge features a boma, pool, pizza oven and even a wine cellar – ideal for unwinding after a day in the wild. Nyamatusi Camp welcomes children aged 12 and up, with walking and canoeing safaris reserved for those aged 16 years and older.
