Situated in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, which forms a part of the Congo Basin - where the world’s second largest rainforest in the world can be found - Ngaga Camp offers a one-of-a-kind encounter with the habituated western lowland gorilla. This haven within the Republic of Congo’s most majestic wilderness invites you to track these majestic creatures through the rainforest.
Let skilled local trekkers guide you in the search for gorillas that, through years of research, have become accustomed to humans. Study the tracks and signs and channel your primal instincts in search of these majestic creatures. On the way, uncover crowned and moustached monkeys and the occasional central chimpanzee as part of your thrilling but always respectful encounter with these African greats. Explore the Ndzehe Forest on a well-maintained trail, journey into swampy terrain, savour night walks in search of nocturnal primates and wonder at the pure majesty of Congo-Brazzaville.
Resting in a glade in the midst of pristine rainforest, Ngaga Camp’s rooms are each raised over the surrounding canopy. A dining room, lounge and bar area all sit on raised decks overlooking the richness of the terrain, offering true immersion. A star deck and fire pit and another deck near the Ngaga Stream are also available for leisure and viewing.
