Desert Homestead Outpost

Resting against the base of a gently inclining mountain and adjacent to the Namib Sand Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site, Namib Outpost offers panoramic and astounding views of the stark and barren landscape that is the Namib Desert – the oldest desert in the world. Trek across the landscape on horseback or enjoy an unforgettable bird’s-eye view from the heights of a hot air balloon. 

Stretching across an area exceeding 81,000km², the Namib Desert’s unique environment is thought to harbour more endemic species than any other desert in the world. It is also home to some of the largest dunes in the world, while its westernmost point runs for 2,000km along the Atlantic Ocean coastline. 

Each of the Namib Outpost’s chalets feature private shaded sundecks, mosquito nets, air-conditioning, refrigerators, coffee machines, safes and en-suite bathrooms. Its modern design invites the outside in, while their superior unit boasts windowsill seats, floor-to-ceiling windows, and is set further apart from the other buildings ensuring maximum privacy. The main lodge has mobile phone connectivity, car facilities, a laundry service, swimming pool, sun deck and shaded areas.
