An exuberant blend of riverine wetlands, savannah, and emerald mountains collide in the Amakhosi Private Game Reserve. Aside from the Big 5 which can be spotted on the 6,000ha reserve via walking safaris and game drives led by experienced guides and rangers, the unique biodiversity has ensured that a plethora of other wildlife has flourished. This is a terrific area for birding and for studying the reserve’s amphibian population attraction to this subtropical climate. As a result, visitors can also enjoy frogging and birding safaris.

The former have floor-to-ceiling windows, private viewing decks, air-conditioning, a minibar, en suite bathroom, and tea/coffee facilities.
