Etango Ranch Guest Farm forms part of the 125,000ha Namatanga Conservancy – a vast area where mountains, highlands, and the Kalahari sands overlap creating a melting-pot of biodiversity. The multi-purpose working ranch is a mere 4km from Hosea Kutako International Airport, and 45km from the country’s capital – Windhoek – making it an ideal stopover for travellers.
Even though the ranch is close to the airport, guests will feel as if they are miles away. The ranch stays wrapped in silence and serenity. Drive through the foothills of the scenic Bismarck Mountains, keeping an eye out for the Hartmann’s zebra, or venture off into the wild on foot in search of the ranch’s abundant birdlife. Learn about different aspects of farming, including cattle ranching, tagging, and sheep dipping.
Stone pathways lead past the large fireplace to 3 Bungalows, and 2 en-suite Double Rooms. The double rooms come complete with a large living-cum-dining area, and a verandah. The private thatched lapa, pond, and manicured garden allow excellent bird-viewing opportunities, while sun-bathers can splash around in the pool.
