22/6/2016 - Rhino Africa’s fundraising initiative, Challenge4ACause, now in its eighth year, is yet again set to depart to Damaraland, Namibia on Saturday 11 June. Over the course of seven days, 18 riders will cycle 400km through the remote desert in Northern Namibia. The event aims to raise awareness for and assist rhino conservation, as well as other important causes. This year, Rhino Africa and Challenge4ACause have raised R3 million, through the generous donations of their industry partners, and every last cent will go to the four beneficiaries.
Good Work Foundation is an NGO that empowers rural communities through online learning and is looking to reach 100,000 learners by 2020. Save the Rhino Trust Namibia is dedicated to protecting the critically endangered desert-adapted black rhino and its habitat. Wildlife ACT works tirelessly to protect endangered species such as the painted dog and the black rhino. And Khumbulani Day Care Centre in Khayelitsha is a centre for about 220 HIV infected or affected children aged between 0 and 13 years.
