Visit the endangered mountain Gorilla


This quick tour will take you straight to the home of Uganda’s most famous citizens, its gorillas. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to almost one-half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorilla, making it an extremely valuable conservation site and the perfect place to find these magnificent creatures. You’ll stay in the north of the park at The Engagi Lodge for three nights.

Day 1: Airport Guest House, Entebbe

Start your trip hidden in a garden flush with indigenous foliage but mere minutes from the airport.Entebbe is home to numerous attractions from the shimmering shores of Lake Victoria to the Ngamba and Sesse islands. Don’t miss out on traditional cuisine at the Mama Africa restaurant or a drink at the bar.

Day 2-5: The Engagi Lodge, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After a leisurely morning, you will be transferred to the Entebbe International Airport for your flight to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you’ll stay in the luxurious Engagi Lodge. The stunning setting, on the edge of the forest, also includes its sounds of gorillas, chimpanzees, birds. Here you will undertake one of the best guided walks in Bwindi – the scenic Waterfall Trail. In the afternoon you will take part in a Cultural Community Walk in Buhoma Village.

The next day is the main attraction, visiting the gorillas. Gorilla tracking is a captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi and to trek through the forest. Looking deep into the expressive brown eyes of the gentle giants of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of Africa’s most exciting and poignant wildlife encounters.

Day 5: Entebbe

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Kihihi Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe where you’ll connect with your international flight home.
