&Beyond Sossusvlei Desert Lodge lies within a vast private reserve in the Namib Desert, where ancient dunes, bare mountains and wide-open plains create a landscape that feels stripped back to its essentials. Set beside the NamibRand Nature Reserve and the Namib-Naukluft National Park, it gives you access to one of the world’s oldest deserts and a setting where silence, distance and light do much of the work. The architecture also compliments the setting: stone, glass and steel kept low against the escarpment, carefully designed to frame the landscape.

When night arrives, stargazing becomes the main event – from the skylight above your bed or through the lodge’s on-site observatory. Back at base, the wellness space, wine cellar and interactive kitchen add depth to the experience. The suites are glass-fronted and deeply private, each opening onto a veranda and plunge pool with uninterrupted desert views.
