Explore Kapama with the elephants

Camp Jabulani gets its name from an orphaned baby elephant that was brought to the owners for rehabilitation. The owners adopted the little one, along with other orphaned elephants from Zimbabwe, and the lodge soon became a sanctuary for them and other endangered species.

Despite being five-star, Relais & Châteaux-accredited luxury in the Kapama Private Game Reserve, the accommodation at Camp Jabulani could pass almost unnoticed due to the domineering presence of the herd of elephants that calls Camp Jabulani home. There are several activities on offer including game drives, bush walks and wellness treatments, each one a worthy and authentic experience.

Accommodation at Camp Jabulani is opulent with rich and creamy silkiness astride raw textures and bold shapes. The six Thatched Suites are palatial and secluded with open-plan en-suite bathrooms, an outdoor shower and a lounge area with a fireplace.

  • Kapama Private Game Reserve supports a wide variety of wildlife
  • Plenty of activities including game drives, guided walks and spa therapy
  • Exclusive accommodation consisting of six suites
  • Accredited Relais & Châteaux property
