Shandrani Hotel

One of the most popular in Mauritius

With a total of 327 rooms, the Shandrani Hotel is one of the largest hotels in Mauritius. Located in the unspoilt South Coast, the hotel is built on a peninsula surrounded by 50 hectares of lush tropical gardens and has three seperate beaches. So much beach space deserves a variety of activities, so the Shandrani Sailing Club and the Shandrani Kitesurf School are the perfect places to start your holiday activities. Just offshore is a Marine Park, the protected coral reefs make for some of the best snorkeling and diving on the island. There is also a glass bottomed boat for those who don't want to take the 'active' option on their relaxing holiday.

Well known for spacious accommodation and a full complement of facilities, it's no surprise that Shandrani Hotel is one of the most popular hotels in Mauritius. There are four seperate and unique restaurants to choose from, each serves up its own brand of cuisine, with all that variety you won't get bored of the food! When it comes to relaxing, first there are your spacious, well decorated and importantly airconditioned rooms. Then there is any one of the three beaches, the small 'wild' beach at the tip of the peninsula is the quietest and most relaxing. And lastly, but certainly not the least is the La Source Spa, a fine place to relax, de-stress and feel fantastic!

The South Coast of Mauritius is not known for its relaxed beaches, but more for its unrivalled activity list, including forest walks to waterfalls, surfing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing, bodyboarding, windsurfing, skiing, caneoing, sailing and many many more. Another activity which is better to do in the south than anywhere else is to play golf. There are several high class golf courses on the South Coast and any keen golfer will certainly get their money's worth!
