Enkewa Mara is located in a private concession of 36 hectares on the Southeastern border of the Masai Mara National Reserve, on the border of Serengeti National Park. It is the wildest region and least transited area of the reserve, with a great variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. You'll find elusive species such as leopard, black rhinoceros and wild dog.
Located in the Olderkesi Community, inhabited by the Masai tribe, the camp lays amid a well-protected valley at the foot of the Kalema mountain. Expect great views!
There are double and triple tents, each with a complete en-suite bathroom. There is a dining mess tent and a lounge with bar service. International and Mediterranean cuisine. Being an eco-friendly camp, sustainable practices are used regards waste management, solar energy is used, there is a vegetable garden and no pumps or generators that might interfere with your peace are used. Water is filtered and purified with UV and tents are places according to a geobiology analysis of magnetic fields and radiations.
Go on safaris in 4x4 vehicles with a driver and Masai spotter. The vehicles allow you to access the most remote places to avoid the most crowded routes of the Mara. You can also go on night safaris, balloon safaris, walking safaris accompanied by Masai guides with great knowledge of the plant life and excellent tracking skills and observation, and cultural visits to the local Masai villages.
