There is a wide range of accommodation options to meet your every need in Planet Baobab. For those who like their luxuries, you can stay in the traditional Bakalanga huts of the Bushmen. With complete ensuite bathrooms and comfortable beds, these are our recommended option. The more budget-conscious travellers can stay in slightly less luxurious lodges though these do boast all modern amenities and if you really wanna be rough and ready, then pitch your tent and and start a barbecue at the campsite.
You can light your own campfire, or gather round the communal blaze in the lelwapa. The bar is always busy and attracts a myriad of guests from all over so kick back and enjoy a cold beverage as the sun sets on another grand day in the Makgadikgadi Pans.
Exciting Range of Activities
At Planet Baobab, you can go on guided walks and game drives into the bush and spot a smattering of wildlife alongside the pans and watering holes of Makgadikgadi Pans. Or roar across the arid terrain on a quad bike. You can also discover the geological origins of what was once the world's largest ever super lake and follow the Palm Trail created by elephant droppings which dried up along with the lake thousands of years ago. Or pick up thousand year old flint spear heads left by the Stone Age hunters who were the region’s first inhabitants. The possibilities are endless!
