Sayari Retreats offers two exclusive Retreats that place you in the far north of the Serengeti, close to the Mara River and one of East Africa’s most dramatic seasonal wildlife events. When the Great Migration reaches this region, wildebeest gather at the river’s edge before crossing crocodile-inhabited waters, creating the kind of safari moment that stays with you forever. Once the herds have moved on, the northern Serengeti shifts and becomes calmer and less crowded, with excellent resident wildlife and wide savannah views still keeping the experience rich.
Each Retreat comes with a host, dedicated chef, private safari vehicle and knowledgeable guide, giving you the freedom to explore early, linger longer or return for late breakfasts on your private deck. Game drives traverse open plains and rocky outcrops in search of big cats and other game, with specialised vehicles available for keen photographers. For a closer perspective, take to the bush on foot with a walking safari. Between outings, cool off in the pool, make use of the main camp’s pool, spa or bar, or settle around your secluded firepit as the plains shift into evening.
Your Retreat includes two spacious en-suite bedrooms, a lounge and dining area, and a large deck leading to a private firepit. Bedrooms open onto the deck through wooden-framed glass doors, while bathrooms feature double vanities, indoor showers, free-standing bathtubs and private outdoor showers. Children aged 5 and older are welcome at Sayari Retreats, and when both units are booked together, families or friends also have exclusive access to the Retreats’ shared pool area and larger lounge and dining space between them, creating an exceptionally flexible private safari setup.
