High on the northern edge of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest lies Erebero Hills. Overlooking mist-shrouded ridges, rolling hills and ancient rainforest, the lodge takes its name from the Rukiga phrase meaning “a place where you can see far.” From this vantage point, views stretch endlessly across one of Africa’s most biodiverse landscapes, home to more than half of the world’s remaining free-roaming mountain gorillas and a wealth of other wildlife, from forest elephants to colourful birdlife.
Trek through the dense forest to encounter mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, an experience that feels both powerful and deeply personal. Guided walks reveal the beauty of Bwindi’s hidden waterfalls, vibrant birdlife and flourishing tea plantations along the forest edge. Visit the Batwa community to gain insight into their profound cultural connection to the forest, and explore the ongoing reforestation initiative. Between adventures, unwind beside the infinity pool or simply pause to watch the morning mist drift through the valleys as the forest comes alive with sound and movement.
Each of the forest-view suites is designed to frame the wilderness beyond. Glass-fronted interiors open to private decks with sweeping vistas, while en-suite bathrooms feature both indoor and outdoor showers, as well as free-standing bathtubs overlooking the surrounding trees. Natural materials, soft lighting and handcrafted details create a sense of calm, complemented by the sounds of the forest, for an enriching, sustainable stay. Families with children ages five and older are warmly welcomed here.
