Cape Cross Lodge is situated on Namibia's isolated Skeleton Coast, about 120km north of Swakopmund – an ideal destination for travellers who want to explore the Skeleton Coast or would like to stopover on their journey to the Damaraland region or northern Namibia.
Visit the fascinating on-site museum, view art works by local artists or walk along the beach from the lodge. An excursion to Cape Cross Seal Colony to observe the Cape fur seal and the Petrified Lagoon is a must. Messum Volcanic Crater and Shipwreck Discovery excursions and eco-friendly tours into the Namibian Desert are also worthy pursuits.
Designed to fully embrace its natural surroundings, the lodge’s large glass windows invite plenty of natural light. Both the lounge and dining areas have cosy fireplaces to ward off the Benguela chill. The 20 Suites each feature an en-suite bathroom, a tea/coffee station and a private balcony with wooden furniture and sea views. Meals are taken from an a la carte menu, either al fresco on the verandah or in the dining room while the cocktail bar and private cellar offer a fine selection of wine and spirits.
