Michelle Welvering

Growing up, Michelle always wanted to become a world-renowned artist, a kickboxing-champion and an eccentric explorer – aka a Kickboxing Exploring Artist! She pursued an education in Fine Arts at the University of Pretoria and opened her own Kickboxing gym but, after her studies, an unexpected twist led her to a six-year stint as a travel consultant in South African tourism. She believes that all things happen for a reason and, already being passionate about the outdoors and nature, found that this was her calling. Driven by adventure, she was eager to move away from Gauteng and find a more “wild” and cultural space to call home. This led her to wander the Western Cape coast-line and fall in love with the city of Cape Town. Her way of life is simple, she is happy when she can make others happy.
