On the 18th of July 2019, Rhino Africa Safaris will be hosting the African premiere screening of The Lion King at the Labia Theatre in Cape Town.

The Lion King premiere coincides with Mandela Day: a day South Africans celebrate their iconic leader, Nelson Mandela, by giving back to the community. This special day also happens to be the 15-year birthday for Rhino Africa, and what better way to celebrate a company dedicated to Africa and African travel than with the premiere of The Lion King.

Since 2004, Rhino Africa has brought over 150,000 guests to Africa and has been crowned Africa’s Leading Safari Company for six consecutive years. Rhino Africa is passionate about protecting Africa’s endangered wildlife and uplifting her vulnerable communities and as part of giving back, Rhino Africa will be taking children from the Khumbulani Educare Centre and The Click Foundation to watch The Lion King. From providing world-class digital education in rural communities to creating safe havens for underprivileged children, these organisations are pioneering the upliftment of Africa’s future generations.

In collaboration with Disney, the premiere will take place at the historic Labia Theatre in Gardens, Cape Town at 20h30. Attendees will be treated to a family-oriented evening that includes Rhino Africa employees and children, key travel-industry partners, as well as conservation driven individuals who all work tirelessly to promote Africa, her people and wildlife
