There are moments in life when you know you’ve arrived, like turning left as you board your flight or opening the door to one of the fifteen magnificent Singita Lebombo lodges nesting among the Euphorbia trees on the remote cliffs of the Kruger.
A deep inhalation of breath was required as I stepped into my colossally cool suite – can safaris really be this stylish? Chandeliers juxtapose a ceiling of wooden javelins, earthen colors and panoramic glass walls. And the views? Drink in the ancient Lebombo mountain range and let your eyes meander along the Sweni & Nwanetsi rivers as they disappear into the foothills. Singita Lebombo is located in 15,000 hectares in the South Eastern corner of the Kruger National Park, along the N’wanetsi River. Scheduled charter flights fly into Satara where rangers will transfer guests to the lodge.
