When you think of Africa, you probably have an image of Kenya in your mind. The wide open plains and plethora of wild animals combine to create the perfect African safari. Head to the Masai Mara or any one of Kenya's game reserves and you could spot the Big Five in a morning game drive. And of course, you should time your trip to coincide with one of the world's most unbelievable and epic natural spectacles - The Great Wildebeest and Zebra Migration.
But Kenya has more than just wildlife. It is a country of contrasts from the snow covered peaks of Mount Kenya to the sun kissed beaches of the Indian Ocean. The scenery embraces mountains, forests, deserts and lakes, plus a staggering diversity of wildlife. At Rhino Africa, we are Kenyan experts and can plan an itinerary to suit your exacting requirements, budget and interests.
Kenya's premier wildlife area is the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is well known for its abundant wildlife. However it is perhaps more famous for The Great Migration which occurs between about July and October. Hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania, to Kenya's Masai Mara and back, crossing crocodile-infested rivers and trying their best to survive predators of the wild. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
