Little Ongava Camp: Etosha and a private reserve combined
Etosha National Park, Namibia- on of the countries top wildlife attractions and one of the largest game parks in Africa. Large herds concentrate around the natural waterholes making for excellent mixed sightings and rare interactions. Along with the predators and large herbivores look out for Namibian specialities: gemsbok, springbok, damara dik-dik and the black-faced impala. Birding is excellent with raptors in abundance and endemics including short-toed rockthrush, Hartlaub's francolin, rockrunner, Rüppell's parrot, white-tailed shrike and chestnut weaver. In Ongava Game Reserve there are good numbers of lion, eland, Hartmann's mountain zebra, the endemic black-faced impala and other antelope. A highlight of the private reserve is a walking safari in which you track both black and white rhino – with an armed ranger of course.
