Lalibela Mark's Camp

In the ecologically diverse 10,500ha Lalibela Game Reserve, Lalibela – Mark’s Camp welcomes families and friends to relish the laid-back charm of stone-walled, thatched-roof chalets overlooking rich rolling landscapes. Just off the N2, about an hour from Port Elizabeth, this malaria-free Big 5 safari experience is well within reach.

The lodge is famous for its abundant birdlife, which can be spotted from the comfort of your chalet’s deck. Venture beyond the nearby waterhole on twice-daily drives to encounter magical moments with the Big 5 and lesser-known species, such as the dainty blue duiker and charming rock hyrax. Mid-drive refreshments and passionate guides complete the safari experience.

Laid-back and warm, eight charming chalets capture the African spirit with characterful decor and high-beam ceilings. Couples can choose from one of four Standard Chalets while three Family Chalets can comfortably accommodate a group of four. One spacious Family Suite is ideally suited for a family or group of six. With private decks, en-suite bathrooms and a crackling campfire at the boma, many memories can be made at this camp. Two swimming pools are perfect for leisure and fun, complete with spectacular views.
