Liberty Lodge takes the concept of “Bed and Breakfast” to a new level. This is a house with many a tale to tell. She has had a chequered career as a Victorian gentleman’s townhouse, a fabric emporium and even a bordello in the 1940’s. After all these changes of character, she has at last become a wonderfully warm environment with new secrets to unfold at every turn. She has a lovely, generous feeling with many loved antiques and art deco items and has won the heart of many a traveller and business guest alike. Friendly staff are always on hand to offer help and advice.
Each bedroom is individually decorated and equipped with telephones with private lines suitable for PC connection, wall safes, TV, alarm clocks, hair dryers, heaters, fans (some with air conditioners). Beds are dressed with pure cotton percale duvets and each room has a small but perfectly formed en-suite with shower (one is equipped with shower over a bath). They have access either to a communal terrace with lovely views or a magical courtyard where in summer the staff serve a sumptuous breakfast to a bustling table of entertaining guests.
