The Royal Zambezi Lodge is a luxury establishment nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River, offering the utmost of luxury in the heart of the bush. It occupies over 200 hectares of pristine wilderness in the Chiawa Conservancy, adjacent to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Mountains form the background while the mighty river flows by timelessly in the foreground, a source of life for the wild animals of this region. The Sausage tree bar is ideal for a sunset drink, with a wooden deck that is suspended over the fast flowing river. Accommodation comprises of ten classic suites and four deluxe suites, spread among 3km of prime river frontage. The standard suites are essentially large green canvas tents with thatched roofs, nestled under mature trees with wonderful views of the Zambezi. Each has a king-size bed, spacious verandah, outdoor fireplace and en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and shower. For those looking for something extra special, the deluxe suites are housed in chalets with their own plunge pools and private salas. Take an outdoor shower or copper bath in absolute privacy with the stars as your ceiling and the river flowing beside you! And it boasts one of the few Spas in the Lower Zambezi region, with two treatment rooms, a steam room, Jacuzzi and sparkling swimming pool. And we haven't even got to the wilderness experience yet!
