Winelands & Wildlife Winter Season Special

Explore Two Wine Routes, See the Big 5

Experience both the Constantia and Franschhoek wine routes before jetting off on a Big 5 safari to Sabi Sand Game Reserve with our Winelands & Wildlife Winter Season Special. This special already offers travellers savings of up to 20% but act fast, book before 31 December 2017 and you can be privy to Rhino Exclusive benefits, too! This amounts to a complimentary upgrade to half-board basis at Mont Rochelle and a complimentary massage per person at Ulusaba.

The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel is found in the evergreen Constantia Valley – close to Kirstenbosch Gardens. Cellars-Hohenort unifies two great traditions: the magnificent restoration of the Cellars of the 18th century Klaasenbosch wine estate and the splendid Hohenort manor house.
Tucked away in the forested slopes of Table Mountain, the hotel affords breath-taking views across the Constantia Valley to False Bay. With its understated luxury, antique furnishings and original works of art, the hotel is a celebration of traditional values and gracious living. Over 3.5 hectares of landscaped gardens feature a small vineyard, roses, herbs, indigenous flora and a unique Knot Garden.
More impressively, however, the Greenhouse restaurant is home to the kitchen of one of South Africa’s most revered chefs – Peter Tempelhoff. The Greenhouse is certainly deserving of its spot at the top of South Africa’s food chain.

Mont Rochelle’s roots are inextricably linked to the very origins of Franschhoek, one of the oldest towns in South Africa. It began as a farm in the early 18th century, owned by one of the original Huguenots who ventured into the valley some 30 years before.
With an eye for detail and a penchant for opulence, Richard Branson’s winelands venture will have guests coming back for more. Known for producing scintillating wines, guests will be spoiled for choice when vacationing in the valley.
Spend a day on the Franschhoek Wine Tram which will take you past all of the finest wine estates in the area. Enjoy a spot of retail therapy in the village’s boutique stores, play a round of golf, or embark on a hike or horseback ride in these picturesque surroundings. On-site luxuries include 2 restaurants, a bar, spa, gym, heated outdoor pool, and wine cellar.

Sprawled across 13,500ha, Ulusaba Private Game Reserve offers luxury in its unique lodges. The Rock Lodge is perched on a hillside offering panoramic views of the bushveld below while the Safari Lodge is snugly disguised by the thriving woodland at its base. The lodge’s owner, Sir Richard Branson, has ensured that no expense has been spared in creating this African safari wonderland.
Once home to the Shangaan tribe, Ulusaba’s plains are densely populated with wildlife moving freely between Ulusaba and neighbouring Kruger. The Big 5 roam in large numbers along with an array of other wildlife who often congregate around the banks of the waterhole near the lodges.
Twice-daily game drives and safari walks will provide guests with ample opportunities to get acquainted with the reserve’s animal population. The lodges are furnished with lavish Aroma Boma spas, a bush observatory ideal for marvelling at the overhanging night sky, a well-stocked wine cellar, and fully equipped gym and tennis court.
