Property Information

Sanctuary Chief's Camp

Sanctuary Chief's Camp is a luxurious bush lodge situated on Chief's Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. The reserve is a cordoned-off section of the Okavango Delta and the ‘predator capital of Africa’. This is the land off wild dog, lion, cheetah and leopard.

Chief's Camp has been so skilfully integrated into the landscape that guests can often view game without even leaving camp. Shaded from the heat of the day by a grove of jackalberry trees, Chief's Camp is so remote you'll feel like the only human around for miles. White rhino have been introduced to this concession, making game drives through the area all the more exciting.

12 secluded Bush Pavilions have been designed for ultimate privacy and comfort, and to offer a front-row seat to this rich and rewarding African adventure. Each features an en-suite bathroom and private game-viewing deck. The main lodge houses the dining area, curio shop, reception, and the impressive library.

Sanctuary Baines Camp

Sanctuary Baine’s Camp is, without a doubt, one of the most distinctive safari experiences in South Africa. The camp is built on raised platforms right over the Boro River, providing jaw-dropping views of the surrounding wilderness.

There’s plenty to do at Sanctuary Baine’s Camp, including game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, guided walking safaris and river excursions by way of mokoro or motorised boat. The Okavango Delta region is famous for its high animal population, and regular sightings of lion, buffalo, giraffe, and wild dog. During the local summer, scores of flamingos gather in the wetlands to strut their stuff.

Accommodation consists of just 5 Suites, making this the ideal destination for an intimate honeymoon or any romantic getaway. All suites feature private decks, en-suite bathrooms, four-poster beds, and ceiling fans. The bed can be wheeled out onto the deck at night for a star-gazing experience.

Sanctuary Stanleys Camp

On a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is sheltered among a forest of ebony and sausage trees. Animal activity is plentiful in this region of the Delta, with every change in season bringing different wildlife to the area.

The secrets of this wilderness and wildlife haven can be discovered in a multitude of ways. There are safaris by mokoro and motorised boat(s) and in 4X4 open game vehicles should water levels permit. Walking safaris are also offered, with guides eager to share their knowledge of local animals and how to track them.

8 Canvas Tents make up the accommodation on offer at Stanley’s Camp. Each is delicately decorated to provide luxury that maintains an element of understated elegance: antique furniture, oriental carpets, and hand-crafted beds draped in fine linen. The tents all feature en-suite bathrooms and private balconies complete with inviting hammocks.

Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero

Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is located just outside the village of Kasane, near Chobe National Park. The lodge has become well-known for its delectable cuisine, while its hilltop position allows guest to enjoy the uninterrupted panoramic view of the Chobe river and its floodplains.

Open-vehicle, guided game drives in Chobe National Park bring you to the heart of Africa's largest concentration of elephants. Sundowners are tradition here and take place while cruising along the river in specially-adapted motorboats. Enjoy an eclectic fusion of Western and African meals complemented by vintage wines from the cellar. High tea, always a treat, is served on the lawn under shady trees.

The lodge has 14 luxury thatched Cottages and 1 Honeymoon Suite each with sunken hand-crafted baths, indoor and outdoor showers, and terraces overlooking the river. The Honeymoon Suite features a plunge pool, a deck area for romantic dinners, and a private vehicle and guide for all game-viewing activities. Other facilities include a library, split-level swimming pool, and a full spa, complete with treetop treatment room!
