Olakira Camp

Follow the migration from river to grassland and back again

Moving with the motions of the Great Migration, Olakira Migration Camp ensures spectacular wildlife-viewing opportunities of one of the most dramatic events to take place in the natural world. Watch with bated breath as herds of wildebeest cross the Mara River infested with crocodiles, and as calves are stalked by cheetah and lion on the Serengeti Plains.

Following the perennial circle of life, the Great Migration has long been revered as one of the most awe-striking sights to behold in the animal kingdom. The murky waters of the Mara River tell a tale of bloodshed and triumph as its banks are flooded with hippos, crocs, and passing herds of wildebeest and ungulates. Seasonally, Olakira finds itself in the Ngorongoro Crater Area, giving guests a chance to see this part of the landscape, too.

The camp’s 8 en suite tents blend seamlessly with their environment. Sleep peacefully in your king-size beds, or enjoy a sundowner from the chaise lounge on your private verandah. The trees surrounding the camp are dotted with flickering lanterns, adding an ethereal air to your fleeting nomadic existence.
