Elegant opulence as striking as its crater setting

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is located right on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, with magnificent views over the expansive wildlife-speckled caldera – the largest in the world. The lodge boasts architecture as remarkable as its setting, with a structural style conjuring up images of a traditional Maasai mud-and-stick homestead and an interior evoking an elegant baroque chateau.

Descend into the crater through lush highland forest before traversing the grassy crater floor on game drives in search of black rhino, zebra, and eland, closely followed by their predators. End a crater experience with a lavish crater floor banquet, before relaxing with a sundowner on the crater rim back at the lodge.

The 30 spacious suites are divided into three camps: the North and South Camps, and the Tree Camp perched right on the crater’s rim. The suites at the North and South Camps are the epitome of opulence, decorated with large chandeliers, silk curtains, Persian rugs and unique roofs constructed with banana leaves. The suites at the Tree Camp are cosier, and feature floor-to-ceiling windows with an uninterrupted view over the crater.
