Situated along the shore of Africa's greatest lake, Speke Bay Lodge is made up of just eight widely seperate bungalows affording guests with privacy and seclusion should they desire, and if you are feeling sociable, there is always the sitting area with it's massive bay windows and bougainvillaea-shaded verandah. You can even choose to have your breakfast served here. There is also the large terrace with its extensive views over the lake, the restuarant which serves up great food and where you will be attended by well trained staff. You also have the choice of staying in one of twelve tents, they are fully furnished with hot showers and toilets close-by.
The Nile Perch was introduced to Lake Victoria for it's value as a foodstuff and, growing to the size of a human adult, they make for excellent sport fishing - guilt-free at that considering the perch is an alien fish upsetting the lake's ecosystem.
