Consisting of only 10 Luxury Chalets hidden away in a lush rainforest, Moholoholo Forest Camp offers you a chance to experience the African bush on an intimate level, without sacrificing comfort. Guests at Moholoholo are treated to bespoke itineraries which include home-style meals, morning Bush Walks and visits to the on-site wildlife rehabilitation centre.
Sitting on the slopes of the Drakensberg, the camp’s individually designed chalets are clustered around the main building which overlooks a waterhole and a thicket of quinine trees. Bushbuck nyala, and samango monkey frequent the waterhole during the daytime while porcupine, bush pig and civet can be spotted here at night. But the game viewing doesn’t stop there - afternoon and night Game Drives on the outlying lowveld plains offer guests the chance to see zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, warthog, lion cheetah and much more.
Back at camp guests can expect nothing short of comfort. Hearty three-course meals can be savoured around bushveld fire or on the main building’s deck. The chalets are made from thatch and log – lending the lodgings an authentically African feel – and come with en suite bathrooms and ceiling fans.
