Hazyview Lodges

The small town of Hazyview is a stone’s throw from the Kruger National Park and forms part of Mpumalanga’s magnificent Panorama Route (which is home to natural treasures such as the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window and Bourke’s Potholes). The area is much-loved by nature and adventure enthusiasts alike and is the perfect base from which to explore this part of Mpumalanga before venturing on to Kruger.

A number of exciting activities are found in and around Hazyview, from the Elephant Sanctuary and Summerfield’s Rose Farm to Shangana Cultural Village and Perry’s Bridge Reptile Park. Visitors can understand what it truly means to be on the brink while abseiling down a 27-metre cliff-face that will offer magnificent views of the Sabie River - if you aren’t afraid to look down, that is.

The winding Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels and Bourke’s Potholes, can be reached in less than two hours, while the town of Graskop and its surrounding waterfalls and God’s Window viewpoint are the perfect stop en route. Visitors can try their hand at gold-panning in the quaint and interminable mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, a favoured stop for many as very little has changed since its humble beginnings in the late-nineteenth century.
