The private Gondwana Game Reserve is 11,000 hectares of pristine, malaria-free African wilderness situated along the popular Garden Route and only a four hour drive out of Cape Town. Guests can expect to see a wide variety of wild animals roaming expansive plains punctuated by the unique beauty of fynbos vegetation.
Gondwana is witness to the wraparound view of the Langeberg and Outeniqua Mountains and home to many different animals. Game drives may yield sightings of giraffe, hippo, zebra, cheetah and numerous antelope species. If you are lucky, the elusive black rhinoceros may also be spotted. For something a little different, numerous Golf courses are within easy reach of Gondwana as are a number of beaches and coastal towns, such as Mossel Bay and Knysna.
14 bush-lodge Suites and Villas make up the accommodation. The stand-alone Khoi-San-influenced suites are spacious and each features an en suite bathroom, fireplace, private patio and a well-stocked mini-bar. The Villas are an ideal choice for families or groups of friends looking for a more intimate experience and feature large bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a built-in barbeque area.
