Built in 1900 by Sir Herbert Baker, Highlands is considered to be amongst the most important Cape homes of the era. It is elegantly furnished with long sash windows in every room overlooking the terraced Italian gardens and water features, two sparkling pools and a putting green. Highlands Country House has 14 en-suite air-conditioned rooms, all of which are either garden or mountain facing. The rooms are spacious, yet intimate.
Four rooms open onto the garden on the ground floor. Eight rooms are on the first floor with two large delightful loft rooms on the top floor. The bedrooms of the guest house are equipped with all the necessary modern conveniences to ensure complete satisfaction and pleasure. Each room has a satellite TV, mini bar fridge, safety deposit box and is wired for Internet connectivity. You can use in fact use a laptop in any area of the house or grounds.
