Okapuka Ranch is a private game reserve 30 kilometres north of Windhoek en route to the north and west of Namibia. The lodge has comfortable rooms, a good restaurant, and an exceptional wine cellar. Game viewing activities include day and night drives, walking safaris, and off-road trails. It's convenient, comfortable, and a good safari primer en route to the riches of northern Namibia.
Okapuka Ranch has 20 rooms, built of local stone and topped with thatched roofs. The décor is also local. Murals by a local artist adorn the walls and Namibian karakul wool carpets soften the tiled floors. Each has an en suite bathroom, a private patio, a mini bar, and complimentary tea and coffee.The main lodge is a large open-sided lapa – the traditional living area in Namibia – with a restaurant, wine cellar, swimming pool, and a landscaped garden.
Activities include wine tasting, game drives, bush walks, scenic drives, lion-feeding, birding, off-road adventure, and helicopter flights.
