Nata Lodge

Bird-watching heaven bordering the Makgadikgadi Pans

The largest area of salt pans in the world covers some 37,000km² and forms part of what is known as the Great Makgadikgadi. Nata Lodge is set in an idyllic location dotted by Mokolwane palms on the edge of these Botswanan pans, where the Nata River delta feeds into the Sua Pan and pelicans and flamingos paint the shoreline a haze of pink.

Conveniently situated close to the entrance of the Nata Sanctuary, guests have easy access to this junction leading to the Okavango, Chobe, and Francistown areas. The Nata Sanctuary is the breeding ground for a multitude of water birds and the lodge offers guided tours into the sanctuary in open vehicles to get up close to animal life and into bird-watching paradise.
