Chobe Savanna Lodge is a great family destination and happily accepts children of all ages. Chobe Savanna Lodge is situated in the East Caprivi of Namibia on a peninsular on the northern banks of the Chobe River and overlooks the vast flood plains of the Chobe National Park. The camp accommodates a total of 24 guests, all rooms are furnished in subtle earth tones and dark woods in a contemporary African theme. The focal point of the lodge is a thatched open sided main building which commands a 270 degree over the Chobe River.
The lodge is relaxed and informal, with a large lounge, dining room and bar area tastefully decorated and completely in tune with the environment. At Chobe Savanna Lodge get close up encounters with Chobe’s wildlife along the rivers edge. Enjoy game viewing by boat as well as sunset cruises on the Chobe River, the lodge has several boat including small manoeuvrable boats which can get close to the waters edge. The waters around Savana are renowned for outstanding tiger and bream fishing. Fishing trips accompanied by proficient guides, together with the necessary fishing tackle can be arranged.
The area is renowned for its diverse and prolific wildlife, including the rare Puku Antelope. It is home to large herds of Elephant, Buffalo and Hippo, as well as concentrations of other wildlife, including Giraffe, Sable, Wild Dog, Lion and other predators, which come down to the rivers edge to drink, graze and hunt.
