Situated on the north-eastern coast of Zanzibar, Azanzi Beach Hotel’s structure is inspired by an old Arab dhow – its sail-shaped thatched palm roofs rise above the island foliage and its whitewashed walls breach the powder-white sands of the beachfront. The hotel gazes over the Indian Ocean, from where the calm waters retreat to expose the sea’s entrails of colourful urchins, to where the waves swell and pound the shore.
Zanzibar’s coral reefs feature spectacular snorkelling and diving sites, while fly-fishing and deep-sea fishing provide a different experience. Explore Stone Town with its 19th-century architecture, reflecting a mixture of Arab, Persian, and Indian elements. Sample fresh tropical fruit, coconuts, and spices on the spice farms or take a leisurely dhow cruise along the shoreline.
The hotel consists of Standard Rooms, Luxury Suites, Villas, and Deluxe Villas, each featuring air conditioning, a mini-bar, and king-size beds draped with a mosquito net, with the Luxury Suites having an outdoor shower as well. Cuisine ranges from freshly-caught seafood and traditional Swahili dishes, to typical European options.
