Tania grew up in Fish Hoek, a small seaside town in Cape Town, and spent her childhood camping and hiking throughout Africa. Her parents had an appreciation for ‘roughing it’ and disposed of their TV early on in her childhood. This, paired with her vivid imagination, sparked her interest in reading and writing. Although her home language is Afrikaans, she went to an English High School and went on to study languages and culture (English, French, and German) at Stellenbosch University. She spent a month in Germany with a visit to Paris in 2010. She also recently went to Vietnam – and fell in love with the country – although Africa will always have her heart. She is obsessed with animals (a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady), good food (spicy!) and wine. There is nothing that makes her happier than basking in the sun (preferably in the vicinity of breaking waves on a golden beach) with a glass of wine and a book.
