On the cliffs over the Boteti River

The Boteti River is an important water source for the animals of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park who flock to its waters to quench their thirst. Built on cliffs towering 10 metres above this erratic riparian environment, 140km south-east of Maun, Leroo La Tau lodge offers unrivalled views of the river and the Makgadikgadi Pans.

Located on the western bank of the Boteti River, the lodge faces the boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park which stretches out from the eastern riverbank into the grassland-covered interior. Venture out into the park on guided day and night game drives or relax at the game-viewing hide and spy the abundant lion, zebra, wildebeest and Chobe bushbuck populations frequenting the riverbanks.

The lodge’s thatched and glass-fronted Luxury Safari Rooms feature 270-degree panoramic views of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park and come complete with en-suite bathrooms comprised of a shower, double hand basin and toilet. The night sounds of the animals can be enjoyed from the main lounge and dining area, which features an inviting wood and thatch finish.
