Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is situated on top of a hill approximately 55km south west of Kariba town. This luxury lodge overlooks the majestic Lake Kariba which was forged when the Zambezi River flooded in 1958, creating a spectacular body of water, now home to a vast array of wildlife. The lodge was established in 1975 and was recently upgraded to a superior location for game-viewing.
While each of the twenty, lavishly decorated, front-facing rooms has a crisp view of the lake, the ten premium rooms offer particularly exquisite vistas with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets seen from the large private verandas.
The stunning infinity pool is a highlight and a great way to relax after a long day of game-viewing. The elegantly furnished main lounge offers a bouquet of entertainment, from guest Wi-Fi and wildlife DVDs to board games and a fully sized snooker table in the TV lounge. If you’re in the mood for some pampering, the lodge also hosts a cocktail bar and wellness spa which overlooks the magnificent lake and game-rich shorelines.Don't be surprised if you spot a herd of elephants having an afternoon drink at the lake.
The kitchen is run by executive chef, Naison Lungu, whose dishes are of an international standard of excellence. He is one member of the dedicated team that makes Bumi Hills Safari Lodge an excellent choice in safari accommodation.
