Rhino Review

Mweya Safari Lodge is located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda. It is set on the Mweya peninsula which faces out onto the teeming Kazinga Channel and Lake Edward. There is a sparkling pool to keep you cool during the day and a bar to keep you plied with ice-cold cocktails. Wine and dine at the delightful Kazinga restaurant and quench your thirst or enjoy a snack at the Tembo Safari bar.

There are a number of rooms to suit different tastes and budgets. There are the cottages - the President's Cottage (famously occuppied by the Queen Mother), the Presidential Cottage, the Royal Cottagea and the Rwenzori Cottage - all offering the utmost in luxury. There are also suites, deluxe rooms and triples, twins and doubles - something for everyone! All rooms have a well-appointed bathroom and private balcony with panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel. And there are conference facilities and satellite TV if you need to stay in touch.

Mweya Safari Lodge is ideally located to take in the highlights of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Go on game drives and spot elephant, leopard, lion and more wild beasts with your expert ranger. Then track chimpanzees on a guided walk in the gorge. And you can spot hippos and crocodiles on a boat cruise down the teeming Kazinga Channel. The park is also home to the native Ugandan kob (antelope) and over 600 bird species - a quarter of Africa's total birdlife!
