Buhoma Community Haven Lodge is located above the Buhoma village in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an area renowned for gorilla trekking. The lodge has beautiful views of the park and the surrounding green hills.
Mountain gorilla tracking is probably the most popular activity in this part of Uganda and is a must for anyone visiting. Guests can also go on a Buhoma community village walk where they will visit tea and coffee plantations, learn about banana gin and get to know the community. Nature walks in the national park, bird watching, and massages are also available.
The lodge has 3 en-suite Cottages on offer; one of which is a Family Cottage. The rustic but comfortable cottages have beautiful views of the surrounding forest and offer quality accommodation at an affordable price. At the end of a day of adventuring, guests can visit the restaurant and enjoy 5-course meals that make use of local ingredients followed by a drink at the bar or the lounge before retiring for the evening.
