Olakira Camp is nothing short of spectacular! 'Olakira means “shining star” in KiSwahili, and with its myriad of attractions, it is aptly named. Though the camp changes position, it still manages to offer the utmost in luxury and the setting is always sensational.
There are nine guest tents, each with large king-size or twin beds. They are all en-suite and have private verandahs with great views over the Serengeti plains. The common area tents blend into the African bush and serve usually as dining area and lounge. Food is often served outside under the stars with the sights and sounds of the Serengeti teeming around you.
Instead of the animals migrating to you, you find the animals at Olakira Camp. This mobile camp changes its position a few times a year to ensure your game viewing experience is always out of this world. From December to March, the camp is in the southern Serengeti (or Ndutu area) where you witness the Great Migration and spot lion and cheetah on the plains. From June to November, it moves up to the central Serengeti where the concentration of animals is densest. Whenever and wherever you go, it will be fantastic.
