One of South Africa's most diverse regions

Kwazulu Natal is one of South Africa’s most diverse regions with mountains, beaches, battlefields and bush. A major drawcard to this region is its subtropical climate and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. For those looking to relax, the KZN Coastline has pretty beaches and golf courses. The Drakensberg and Midlands area is home to the highest mountains in Southern Africa and there are Big Five Game Reserves such as Umfolozi Hluhluwe, Phinda and the St Lucia Wetlands so you can enjoy exclusive Kwazulu Natal Safaris.

The area north of the Tugela River is the traditional home of the Zulu people and you can visit famous Battlefields of Isandlwana Lodge and Rorkes Drift where the British, Boers and Zulus fought many years ago. Durban and Surrounds is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with some great beaches, huge waves and top-class hotels in the vicinity.

Visit the Kwazulu Natal Midlands and Drakensberg where you will see the highest mountains in Southern Africa. This area is home to beautiful guest houses and makes the ideal destination for hikers and those who enjoy the outdoors. The area north of the Tugela River is the traditional home of the Zulu people, as well being the location of many Kwazulu Safari Lodges such as Phinda and Tinga. At the Battlefields you can visit places like Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift where the battles between the British, the Boers and the Zulus are brought alive.
