Londolozi Varty Camp is the largest of the safari lodges in the Londolozi Private Game Reserve , which is inside the Sabi Sand Game Reserve forming part of the enormous greater Kruger National Park area. But with just 10 double chalets, you can hardly call it a Days Inn. The magnificent rooms have river frontage, their own private plunge pools and large decks.
Varty Camp’s vaulted guest areas are open to the bushveld on three sides, affording remarkable views. It is here that delicious breakfasts and lunches are served – a grandstand to the game viewing across the river and into the rolling hills beyond. The lounge area showcases Londolozi’s interesting history with photographs of the early bush camp, a far cry from the luxury on offer now. Delicious dinners are served in the boma, illuminated by lamps, candles, bowls of fire and of course, the dazzling night sky.
Londolozi Private Game Reserve consists of these luxurious and exclusive camps: Londolozi Varty Camp, Tree Camp, Pioneer Camp and Founders Camp as well as Private Granite Suites. Built amongst the dense riverine forest of the Sand River - most of the luxurious camps are self contained and private but within walking distance of each other. Londolozi is renowned for its progressive ecotourism practices and is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in Africa.
